This evening I am going to post as the night goes on. I am going to flick through a collection of old programmes from Ipswich Town, Leicester City, Southampton and Bristol City and hope to find something interesting for most of you. I will throw in the odd question to keep you on your toes, no googling or Wiki'ing. Try this one for starters; Question is who was the Birmingham City manager for that game back in 1976? Just come across a lovely programme from early in the 79-80 season, FL Cup 2nd leg (?), and the question is who are the 3 Coventry players on the cover photo? In these days you also got something interesting to look at, or read, on the inside of the programme. Check out Blondie's page and Shilts advertising the old Bullworker! This is probably my first appearance on the front cover, not the best picture, hopefully clearing the danger! Then later on that same season, 1978, Ipswich played in a historical semi-final against WBA at Highbury. It was a shame for me to be on the front cover, and on the programme line-up, to only have to step aside for Kevin Beattie, declared fit to play on the day. I had played every round of the FA Cup that season, I think, except for the semi final and the memorable final! Ipswich Town 1-0 Arsenal. 1978 FA Cup Winners. And the rest, they say, is history. I have a few programmes to flick through later, from 1974 to 1994, from ITFC playing Luton Town on Boxing Day, to ITFC playing Manchester United on 1st May 1994, with a 4.00pm kick-off.

Try to find Ilkeston Town, or early Derby County and see how it used to be played prior Don Revie. There should.be some there,
